Assisted Stretching

1 credits for 30 min.

Assisted stretching is a targeted, hands on technique in which the trained practitioner guides and supports your body through deep, controlled stretches. You’re able to safely increase your range of motion, release muscular tension, and improve joint mobility more effectively than stretching on your own.

Through precise manual guidance utilizing techniques such as passive range of motion stretching and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), your session is designed around your body’s specific needs. Whether you’re working through muscular imbalance, looking to enhance athletic performance, recovering from workout fatigue, or managing chronic tension, your stretches are adjusted to match your flexibility, injury history, and comfort level so you feel both supported and challenged.

Sessions performed with client fully clothed. Please wear comfortable, loose clothing to allow movement.

  • Common and expected responses

    • Mild muscle soreness: Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) can occur after intense or unfamiliar stretching, typically peaking 24–72 hours later.

    • Temporary decrease in muscle strength or power: Immediately after prolonged static stretching (especially >60 seconds per muscle group), peak force and explosive performance can be transiently reduced for several minutes to an hour.

    • Increased blood flow and warmth: Localized redness or warmth around the stretched area is normal and transient.

    • Hydrate by drinking water after your appointment

    • Apply ice/heat as needed and directed to help with muscle soreness

    • Light walk to get blood flow moving and reduce potential stiffness

    • Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours.
